The organization was founded in 1996 when several of the Rancho Peñasquitos Recreation All Stars began playing as a travel team. Rancho Peñasquitos recreation teams have been very successful over the years and many of the top players were leaving for local Travel teams. In order to provide these girls with a travel program closer to home, the San Diego Renegades were formed.
The San Diego Renegades are committed to producing the finest softball players in San Diego County and the Nation. Our objective is to provide the players with a program that will increase their chances of obtaining a College scholarship while receiving National exposure by playing only the best teams and in the best tournaments. Only top quality, hard working, dedicated players are asked to join our teams and parental participation is encouraged. The San Diego Renegades teams constantly play in the Orange County and Los Angeles areas and set a rigorous schedule to face as many top teams as possible in the toughest tournaments.
