Samantha Nelson, a 2014 right-handed Center Fielder/ 2nd baseman from Scripps Ranch High School in San Diego and a 5 year
player with the San Diego Renegades- Stern 18 Gold, has committed to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University as a student
athlete, where she plans to major in Global Security and Intelligence.
Samantha is a leader in the field for the Renegades as an starting center fielder who also plays 2nd base as well as all outfield
positions.
Samantha’s brings speed, accuracy and softball intelligence each time she steps on the field. She has helped lead the SD
Renegades to success in their many Triple Crown Showcases, Tournaments and top 5 finishes in ASA So. Cal States, two trips to
ASA Nationals and the USSSA World Series.
Samantha is a strong competitor who embodies team spirit, determination and pride in the sport that she has played and loved for
over 10 years.
Samantha is a starting center fielder for Scripps Ranch High School earning a spot on the CIF San Diego All Academic Team for
2013.
We are so proud of Samantha for accomplishing her dream to play collegiate softball. We knew with hard work and a strong
desire to succeed she could turn her dream into reality.
