Congratulations to one of our 18U Stern Players on her college commitment! Kayla Kruel, a 2015 right handed C/3B/1B from El Capitan High School and San Diego Renegades – Stern 18U Gold, has committed to Kansas Wesleyan College in Salina, Kansas as a student athlete. In January of 2015 Kayla had narrowed down her list, and set out on visiting the top 2 on her list. One was on the East Coast and the other Salina Kansas. Finishing at the top was Kansas Wesleyan. Coach Hoetling and the softball team made her feel like she was at home. Kayla has proven herself on and off the field with her hard work and determination. Kayla, having transferred her Junior year where she was a 2 year Varsity starter in softball, a member of the ASB for two years, and an active member in the community giving back to organizations like Angel Tree, she had to sit for 30 days per CIF (one of the hardest things she stated that she had ever done) once she got to play, she had an immediate impact and helped to get El Capitan to the conference finals. She has excelled in the classroom and worked hard to get to this pay-off. Congratulations on her new journey to become a Kansas Wesleyan Coyote! We are proud of you!
