ASA 12U Western Nationals
July 27-Aug 3, 2008
Phoenix, Arizona

The San Diego Renegades-12U Aguirre team had to battle back from a 0-2 loss to Mizuno Pride in the second round of bracket play, defeating Scottsdale Fever 96 (5-3), Arizona Cats (9-1), Irvine Sting (5-2), Cal Rebels (5-4), Clovis Rockets (9-1) and Scottsdale Fever 95 (8-1), winning 6 games in a row! In a heart-breaking loss to the Arizona Outlaws (0-3), the San Diego Renegades placed 3rd overall. Congratulations, ladies!

Our sincerest thanks to the Arizona ASA for running a great tournament, the Residence Inn, Glendale, AZ for taking such good care of us, and to the coaches, players, sponsors, family and friends who have worked so hard and supported this team throughout our 2007-2008 season!

In the 12U A division the San Diego Renegades went undefeated, coming from behind to beat VC Mayhem 3-1 in the championship game. Great job ladies! Thanks to Triple Crown Sports and Quicksilver for organizing a great tournament.

12U ASA Junior Olympic State Championship in Hemet, CA May 30 -June 1, 2008

After a tough 3-7 defeat to Nemesis Elite 95 in the first round of bracket play the San Diego Renegades 12U-Aguirre battled back to beat, the Stingers 95 (8-3), Irvine Sting (7-4), Quicksilver 95 (5-1) and Minor&#039s Gold (1-0) to finish 9th overall out of 40 teams. Our 9th place finish guarantees a spot in the 12U Regionals to be held July 11-13, 2008 in Northern California. Excellent job, Renegades!

Triple Crown President&#039s Day Tournament Champions, Feb 16-18, 2008, Soboba, CA

In the 12 and Under A division the San Diego Renegades 12U-Aguirre put their perfect record on the line in the Championship against the Lil Rebels from Las Vegas, Nevada. In the end the Renegades kept their perfect record and finished the tournament 6-0.

Lil Rebels & San Diego Renegades. It was a championship battle with the Lil Rebels from Las Vegas, Nevada. The Rebels had an ominous 4-1 run lead going into the last inning when the Renegades stepped up and drove in 5 nail-biting runs to win the Triple Crown President&#039s Day Tournament 6 to 4!

The San Diego Renegades 12U (Aguirre) place 3rd and
qualified for the 2007 Triple Crown tournament in Park City, Utah. Congratulations Ladies!

In our first year (2007), our all 11 year old (1995) team compiled an impressive resume of accomplishments including:

  • 9th place finish at the 2007 ASA-USA Jr. Olympic 12U State Tournament in Hemet, California
  • An exciting 17th place finish at the 2007 ASA 12U Nationals in Roseville, California.

This talented, enthusiastic and close-knit team has started the 2008 season with 3 out of 4 Tournament Championships, including:

  • USSSA Oktoberfest Tournament, October 13-14, 2007, in Soboba, CA
  • USSSA Lakewood Ladies Tournament, February 9-10, 2008 in Downey, CA
  • Triple Crown President&#039s Day Tournament, February 16-18, 2008 in Soboba, CA
